1929 Ghost Picture

This ghost picture, taken by the late Robert D. Walsh at a mill in the United States, was published in 1929.
The lady appears to be looking downward, as she descends. It is an incredible photograph and story:

"(The) photo is what was published local in 1929. Far as I know, it made no big impact at that time. I now
reside in the UK and just really needed to let you have this. Personally, I think it is genuine and probably one
of the best I have ever seen for existence of life after death. (The) picture was taken in what was then called
Fanham Wood Mill in early January 1929, by builders aid Robert D. Walsh. Mr. Walsh was renovating the
inner staircase and needed a photographic aid to measure timber needed for the project (timber was
expensive even then). Mr Walsh did not see anything other than the staircase and timber jointed roof, whilst
taking the photograph, and he swears nobody other than himself and his dog were present. However Mr.
Walsh did think his dog was being 'different' that afternoon, but he just thought it was because the dog was in
a strange place (Note: Mr. Walsh did not say what he meant by referring to 'different.'). Mr. Walsh did
renovate said mill several weeks later, and says he did not see or hear anything unusual at all. The
photograph was given to us by Mr. Walsh's great granddaughter who wishes to remain anonymous. Mr.
Walsh died in November 1943, having sworn many times to the authenticity of the enclosed photo."


More information: "The photo is actually better in my opinion than the
picture you have. I do not have a scanner and so a friend took the original
photo's picture with a Fuji camera.

I also have other photos that were taken at the same time, quite possibly on
the same day; but I don't know for certain. These pictures are of mundane
shots of the mill from inside. One of which also shows something 'odd,' but I
cannot make it out. And it is not quite so exciting as the one I have already
sent.

I must be open with you at this point and tell you the reason I am giving you
this picture. I am now getting on in years, and have no family to carry the
name (I never married, nor had children), and I just feel I really owe it to my
history to at least allow the name to go on in some form, or that maybe the
picture will help you with your findings.

When I was a little girl, my older sister (now deceased) always used to tease
me that "Sissy Breeze" would come looking for me if I was naughty. This was
obvious reference to the picture I have sent you. It may be silly - I really do
not know, but that reference is the only descriptive information I have ever
heard with that picture and history in mind.

Needless to say I never saw "Sissy," thank heavens .

The stairwell and staircase in the picture is displaying an expensive rug on
the floor, my fathers great grandfather i believe acquired this through
gambling!!. Anyway i have that actual carpet in my attic now, and it
probably is worth quite a bit."

Ghost in Sara's Basement

Anne sent this ghost picture in for her daughter Sara. It is definitely a man - no mistaking that!

"This picture was taken in the basement of the duplex that my daughter rents in Walton, NY. The town had
flooded and her basement was fast filling up with water. She went down there to document their articles
that were getting damaged by the flood waters. Although the lighting was bad and the articles did not show
up, when she downloaded the pictures onto her computer, she found that she had captured what they
believe to be an earthbound spirit. Her landlady was the only other person in the basement with her.
When they studied the picture, they thought the man looked like what her landlord may look like in 20 or 30
years, although he knows of no older male relatives living or dead who resemble him."

extent of my computer skills, you'd know that even that was a huge

Myrtles Plantation Ghost Photo

Janie Miller took this incredible ghost picture of what seems to be British soldiers appearing on the grounds
of the haunted Myrtles Plantation. It is reported that approximately 700 British troops were killed in the
area during the Battle of New Orleans, January 1815. This may be one of the best ghost photos ever
taken there. We provided a negative image of the photo, as well:

"This photo was take after the ghost tour as they let you roam around the back yard area. You have my
word that there were no figures in the shot when the photo was taken. Appears to be several British Red
Coats, carrying a rectangular object, possibly a coffin. The British don't have history with the house, but
they do have history with the land." - Blair Quintana

Dead Guitarist Ghost Picture


This ghost picture of a dead guitarist is simply incredible:

"This is a picture that was taken in 1979. My wife was acting goofy playing around with my bass guitar so I took a picture of her. When we got the pictures developed we saw the ghost in the chair. My guitar player killed himself in this house six months earlier and we believe it to be him. We had to move out of this house because of the intense activity, that started after we took this picture. One of the things that would happen is I had a accoustic guitar that I kept on a stand in the bedroom."

Bonfire Ghost Picture

Dane Gardner of England sent us this ghost picture of what looks like a man in the bonfire flames. Was it someone who walked in front, or was it a shadow ghost? You decide...

"This photo was taken Friday the 2nd of November 2007, at the local church firework night, with the bonfire in the vicar's garden. There appears to be a figure with (see-through) head and no arm/hand in the fire! Also, if you look closely you can see the face with eyes, no hair. The face is very creepy..."

1963 Ghost Picture

Penny from Ontario, Canada sent us this ghost picture recently. Do you see a face in the window behind them? Take a closer look...

"This picture was taken in 1963. It is of my dad, my older sister and my great-grandpa. Notice the face in the window behind my great-grandpa.. My mother was the one who took this shot and she said that there was no one else there. This picture still freaks her out today. We have no idea who this could be, but my grandmother thinks it could be a family member. To me he looks like someone from the 1800's - notice the derby style hat."

Grandpa's Chair Ghost Picture

Amanda sent us this wonderful ghost picture of a baby on grandpa's chair. It's an older photo that was re-photographed with a camera instead of copying it via scanner (to get it on her computer). Please disregard the white flash on the baby's legs, but consider the human form or apparition seemingly holding the infant:

"My aunt's best friend gave birth to the baby boy in the picture, a few weeks after her father passed away. During a visit when the child was about six months old and crawling, his mother and grandmother noticed he had crawled up on 'grandpa's chair.' Out of nostalgia, his mother placed him up in the chair and took his picture. Apparently 'grandpa' decided to 'hold' his grandson and pose with him.
All the negatives on this roll were examined to see if there was a possible bleed through from another photograph, but there was nothing even close to cause something like this. All we can assume is grandpa still lingers in his home and still enjoys sitting in his chair; or he is his

Queen Mary Ghost Picture

Joe L. sent us an amazing ghost picture taken aboard the Queen Mary. In our opinion, it is the best Queen Mary ghost picture we have seen. Here is the story behind the photograph:

"While aboard the Queen Mary a few years back my Uncle George took this picture of what he thought was an ordinary vestibule. When he got home he printed out his pictures, but wasn’t expecting to find what looks like a ghost walking down the hall. My Uncle is 78, and does not believe in ghosts; but this freaked him out. He doesn’t even like to talk about the incident. I was recently watching a special on the ten most haunted places, and when the Queen Mary was listed I felt compelled to send in the picture. Enjoy."

Carnival Ghost Snapshot

Andrew Ogburn sent us this fantastic ghost picture taken on-board a Carnival cruise ship. We have studied the full snapshot trying to figure out if this "suit" was a shadow cast from a suitcase or something else, but with no explanation. "While getting ready for a dinner party on the Carnival cruise ship, I heard someone sit on my bed. I turned and no one was there. I decided to jokingly take a pic before I left the room, and this is what developed!"

Spirited Grove Ghost Picture

Scott Hartman of Pennsylvania sent us this creepy ghost picture of what looks like a hooded skeleton. The problem is that Scott was photographing his wife's face, and this is the image that appeared:

"This is a photo I took of my wife as we enterd the spirited grove in Gettysburg. You can see the top of my wife's head (her hair). Honestly, I do not know what I have here, any suggestions? This photo was taken on 11/1/08 it was a nice clear night, approx. 8:30 pm. I was using an Olympus 820 stylus digital camera. We were on a ghost tour in Gettysburg and I was taking pictures along the way and this is one of the pictures I took."


This photo from the spirited grove is a mystery. Scott says his wife was not wearing a hood, scarf, or hat. If you look closely at the top, you can see her hair above the skeletal face. Scott also sees what looks like a face to the right of the skull image. It is just one crazy ghost picture, and one for which the distortion does not explain completely explain this frightening image.
