Untuk memuluskan modusnya, pelaku memberikan kuitansi alat pembayaran. Kuitansi ini hanya sebagai kedok agar mereka dipercaya sopir. Biasanya, sopir truk yang dikompas rata-rata dilihat dari nomor polisi. Jika berasal dari luar pulau, mereka berani melakukan aksi kejahatan.



"Kita biasanya tanya dulu pada sopir. Keamanannya ikut siapa. Apa ikut Gajah Oling atau Sapu Jagat. Kalau nggak ada stiker mereka, kita berani memberikan kawalan," terang Abdul Hadi, salah satu tersangka yang diamini Junaidi, tersangka lainnya.



Kedua tersangka ini mengakui, operasi yang dilakukan lebih tertuju pada truk-truk dengan nomor luar Jawa. Mereka biasanya mengompas biaya pada sopir dilihat dari besar kecilnya truk. Truk kecil ditarik Rp 200 ribu sampai Rp 300 ribu. Sedang truk besar ditarik Rp 350 ribu sampai Rp 450 ribu. (day/jm)
