A. Thermoplastic

– Dipanaskan meleleh

– Didinginkan → kembali kesifat semula

Contoh : Polietilen, polipropilen, polistiren



B. Thermoset

– Dipanaskan meleleh

– Didinginkan → tidak kembali kesifat semula

Contoh : Poliurethane, epoksi, elastomer



tapi yang dipake Polietilen

- Memiliki fleksibilitas pada suhu ruang dan suhu rendah

- Kedap air

- Tahan terhadap zat kimia

- Dapat disambung dgn dipanaskan (dipatri)

- Dapat berwarna-warni

Botol umumnya di buat dari material seperti plastik dan kaca. Proses pembuatan botol dan galon dari kedua material tersebut hampir sama. Material di lebur kemudian di tiup kedalam cetakan sesuai dengan bentuk yang di inginkan.

2. Proses injeksi plastik cair kedalam cetakan (Injection molding)

3. Proses injeksi ½ jadi (Injection molding)

4. Meniupkan udara kedalam cetakan (blow molding)

5. Pendinginan produk

6. Finishing
